Learning AI in Charlotte

Where can women learn AI in Charlotte?

Where can I start learning AI in Charlotte?

The Momentum Office offers three starting points: The AI Table for a free local conversation with other women, the teaching library for self-paced practice, and private workshops for teams. Choose the setting that fits your question and how you like to learn.

The AI Table is a monthly meetup for women in the Charlotte area who want to understand where AI can help. You can bring a question from your job, business, freelance work, personal project, or everyday responsibilities.

Do I need to own a business or have a technical background?

No. Women business owners, professionals, freelancers, and curious beginners are welcome at The AI Table. You do not need coding experience, a polished plan, or a paid AI subscription to join the conversation.

You might be exploring a career skill, organizing a project, drafting a clearer message, or looking for a better way to manage recurring work. Start with what you want to do rather than trying to learn every tool at once.

When and where is the next AI Table meetup?

The first meetup is Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Eastern, in the conference room inside Platform Coffee at Station West, 919 Berryhill Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208. It is free to attend, with a public 15-guest limit.

Our first conversation is about where your week goes: the tasks that keep taking your attention, where AI or simple automation could help, and what still needs your judgment. Doors and networking begin at 9:00; teaching and Q&A begin at 9:30; guests explore their scenarios at 10:00.

See full details and register for October 27. Check the registration page for current availability. Future monthly dates will be listed on the events page once confirmed.

What can I learn or practice with AI?

Bring a real task you would like to make easier. Useful starting questions include:

  • How can I turn scattered notes into a useful checklist?
  • Can AI help me draft a message without changing what I mean?
  • How can I break a personal or work project into manageable steps?
  • Which recurring tasks need simple rules, and which might benefit from AI?
  • How do I check an answer before relying on it?

The aim is to leave with one practical idea to try and other women to learn alongside. The meetup is a conversation with teaching and practice; it does not promise a certification or a particular time-saving result.

What should I bring to an AI meetup?

Bring one question and a short description of the task behind it. Think about what a useful result would look like and what you would need to check. A notebook is helpful; a laptop is optional for following along.

Use invented names and sample details for group exercises. Keep personal, employer, and client information private. The guide to confidential information and AI explains what to check before sharing real work material.

How can I try AI before attending?

Choose an AI tool you are permitted to use and try this exercise with a fictional project:

Help me plan a fictional neighborhood book swap. My tasks are choosing a date, finding a venue, inviting neighbors, and organizing donated books. Turn these into a short checklist. Identify missing information as questions. Do not invent a confirmed venue, date, budget, or commitment.

Compare the answer with your instructions. Did it preserve your facts? Did it invent anything? Are the next steps useful? Change one instruction and try again. That small cycle of asking, checking, and improving is a useful beginner skill.

For a structured comparison exercise, see how to evaluate ChatGPT and Claude. You can adapt its review checklist to a personal project as well as business work.

Can I arrange AI training for my team?

Yes. The Momentum Office offers private AI workshops and team training in Charlotte built around your team’s questions and workflows. These sessions are separate from the free AI Table meetup; scope and pricing are discussed during planning.

Explore Charlotte AI training or book a conversation about a team workshop. If you are learning on your own, start with the free meetup or teaching guides.
